Previous Filler Assessment & Dissolving

Your Consultation

If you have concerns about previously placed dermal filler, a clinical assessment can help determine whether further management is appropriate.

At Beauty Emergency Clinic, we take a considered approach to filler-related concerns. Dissolving is not automatically recommended simply because filler is present. The first step is to understand your treatment history, assess the area and discuss what is currently concerning you.

During your consultation, our Registered Nurse will review:

  • The area of concern

  • Your previous filler treatment history, where known

  • When and where previous treatment was performed

  • Current symptoms or aesthetic concerns

  • Relevant medical history

  • Your expectations and desired outcome

If available, information about the product previously used, treatment records or other relevant documentation may also be helpful during your assessment.

Is Filler Dissolving Always Necessary?

Prescription & Clinical Assessment

No. The presence of previously placed filler does not necessarily mean that it needs to be dissolved.

Depending on your assessment, your practitioner may recommend monitoring the area, obtaining additional information, further clinical assessment or referral to another appropriately qualified healthcare practitioner.

If dissolving is clinically appropriate, the treatment process, potential risks, limitations, alternatives, aftercare, and expected recovery will be discussed before proceeding.

When management involves a prescription-only medicine, complete the appropriate clinical assessment and prescribing requirementsafter consultation and will be considered only when before treatment can proceed.

after consultation and it will be considered on

Treatment is not guaranteed following consultation and will only be considered where clinically appropriate for the individual.

The Beauty Emergency Approach

Our priority is to understand why you are concerned about your previous treatment before recommending next steps.

We believe in careful assessment, realistic expectations and avoiding unnecessary intervention.

Where further management is appropriate, your practitioner will discuss the available options so you can make an informed decision about your care.

Individual circumstances, suitability, treatment response and recovery vary. No specific outcome can be guaranteed. If you experience sudden or severe pain, changes in skin colour, visual symptoms or other concerning symptoms following a recent injectable treatment, seek urgent medical assessment.
